The majority of patients I care for are in the last several expected years of their life. Therefore, my philosophy of care focuses on providing the most comfortable and dignified experience in the time they have left. I encourage and help guide patients and their loved ones to be realistic and appropriate in decisions made. I am mindful of differences in desires among patients and their families and work towards agreeable goals.

About

I was raised here in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. I attended University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, followed by Concordia University for my Master’s Degree in Nursing to board certify as a family nurse practitioner. I began working at Holy Family Memorial as a certified nursing assistant in 2010 while attending UW-Oshkosh. I worked my way "through the ranks" here as a CNA, nurse intern, registered nurse, and lastly nurse practitioner. My husband and I attended Oshkosh together and knew we wanted to return to Manitowoc to start a family.

Growing up without grandparents around, I longed for an intergenerational presence in my life. As a registered nurse, my most cherished patient encounters were listening to the stories and wisdom of those much older than me. Therefore, I arranged for my final clinical rotation to be in skilled nursing facility (SNF) care. I immediately knew it’s where I am meant to be and where I’ve stayed since 2015. I enjoy hearing my senior patient's life experiences, as well as helping their loved ones navigate difficult changes. SNF care comprises the majority of my day to day work as a nurse practitioner. However, I also serve in the Lakeshore Memory Clinic.

When I am not working, I am spending time with my husband, 2 children, and 2 dogs. We enjoy exploring state and county parks in Wisconsin and have found some hidden gems.
